This is a Delsey hard-sided vintage briefcase with undamaged original tags, two original keys, and the combination still set at the factory 0-0-0 setting. It does not appear to have ever been carried or used.I purchased this at a store near Washington, DC. It has a raised placard near the handle written in Arabic. According to Google Translate, which you can see in the photos, it reads,
"Embassy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Washington Islamic Affairs."
This tag looks professional, but was likely applied after purchase. While it is firmly affixed, I believe it could be pried off if you wanted to carry this without the tag. I have no idea what this case was used for, but thought it looked cool, which is why I originally bought it.This Delsey case is made in Paris, France, and is a design that was popular in the 1980s. There are similar ones for sale on , many of them in much worse shape, but still functional, a testament to the quality. This thing is rock solid, and is as sturdy as any Pelican case I've ever carried. It would be ideal for a laptop or something fragile.
From the date on the paperwork, which you can see in the photos, it appears to be at least 35 years old. Surprisingly, it looks like it has never been carried. It does not have any scratches or scuffs that I can see, and the fabric on the inside looks untouched.
