Linux Mint is one of the more popular versions of Linux available and DVD or flash drive has all variations included so you can try them all.If you purchase the 16GB flash drive, you can also choose if you would to save your session and data whenever you use the flash drive.
The reality is that if you purchase a large flash drive that doesn't support saving your session, it just a waste of time and space.
One ISO for Mint is only about 2GBs in size so you really aren't getting much for your money when you can get three variations and persistence besides with a larger drive.
