Up for your review is a nice Packard Bell Platinum 2010 AT computer restored and configured for Windows 95 and DOS gaming. It features on-board S3 Virge PCI video, a Sound Blaster Vibra16 sound card, and a 2.0GB Compact Flash hard drive. I performeda clean install of Windows95. My exclusive PIF files on the desktop reboot the PC into Real Mode DOS - One boot has 624K of XMS support for your memory hungry DOS games, while the second has 587K XMS as well as 32MB of EMS support. Real Mode DOS gaming support tested with several Sierra DOS games and they ran great (see pics for Space Quest IV example - game not included). The CF card will be removed prior to shipping and stored in a CF case to protect it from damage. The picture shows how it is inserted - Please reinsert it label up (with the power off!) prior to turning on the PC. A new CMOS battery was installed. The case is in decent shape for its age - Let the pictures be your guide. The 5.25" bay covers will dislodge easily, while the lower, rear case bezel is loose at the bottom. A power cord is included. Buyer will need to supply a keyboard, mouse, monitor and speakers.
