Unit is new. Box was opened to confirm contents. Plastic wrap still around the external hard drive and ac adapter.
Box appears to have been stored in facility that had smoking as the box is slightly yellowed and has a bit of smoke smell to it, but as I said, the hard drive itself is still in the plastic and has never been opened or used.
