This is a vintage Radio Shack Voice Synthesizer for the TRS-80 Model 1 computer. These are quite rare to begin with, even more rare in completely working condition like this one is. Fully tested and working. Includes a non-original "homebrew" power supply brick. The power supply brick is a 120VAC to 12VAC adapter comprised of a simple torroidal transformer on some perf-board inside the box, and it it fused for safety. It is not switched, however, so as soon as you plug it in, it is live! So make sure the power jack is plugged into the unit BEFORE plugging it into the wall. No software included, but it is readily available from several online sources. There are only a cople of pieces of software for it from Radio Shack anyway. The store demo software and Talking Eliza, both are available from online software archive websites.
Why spend big $$ on one of these that is listed as "untested"........this one is and is working! If you're gonna spend that kind of $$ why not have one that works!
