Vintage Apple IIe, DuoDisk, Monitor, cards, manuals, cables, AppleWorks, etc.
Price: US $301.00

Apple IIe for sale in Southeastern Louisiana. Pickup in Jefferson Parish.
Hardware: Apple IIe, monochrome monitor with tilt screen, and a 5.25 inch DuoDrive for floppy disks. Also: a Panasonic KXP3151 daisy wheel printer. The printer is not part of the purchase. It will be a gift to whoever buys the Apple IIe and periphery. I have not tested the printer since 1999.
Cards: 80 column card (probably already installed) Also: A box called “Parallel Interface card for the Apple 2” and its manual. The card is probably already installed.
Cables: one cable connecting Apple IIe computer and monitor, one cable connecting computer and DuoDrive, and one cable connecting the computer to a Panasonic printer.
Software: 1. Startup disk and program disk for Appleworks 2.0 (plus a copy of each of those disks containing the original startup and program).
2. A box labeled “Ramworks III” containing a floppy disk called “Super Appleworks Desktop Expander from Applied Engineering” and its manual (It is possible that this expander is already installed.).
3. A box for the Grappler Printer Interface with a belt/cable and its user’s guide. The interface is probably already installed. The printer worked well about 99 per cent of the time, when it would print an occasional, unexpected symbol in the margin.
4. A box containing what appears to be a second 80 column card, along with a user’s manual.
5. A small plastic black hinged box containing a Prodos User’s Disk, a Prodos base utilities disc, and other miscellaneous Appleworks startup and program disks, mostly copies.
Manuals: Manuals include the Apple 2E owners manual, the Apple Works reference manual, another Apple 2E owner's manual, a Monitor 2 user’s manual, and the Apple Works tutorial.KXP printer instruction manual (a gift, not part of the sale).
NOTE Well: All of the above was operating successfully in about 1999, including the printer. After 1999, the above was stored in an attic.
The Apple IIe turned on successfully on April 3, 2024, along with the DuoDrive and monitor. The startup disc showed a screen which said, “Apple 2 Pro dos 1.1.1 18 SCP- 84.” The screen also showed “Apple Works requires 128 k.” Even though the startup and program disks indicated they were 526 k, the AppleWorks program would not load. I believe a competent amateur would be able to load the program. I used to have such competence. When I tried a different AppleWorks program, the screen indicated a need for an 80 column card. I believe that that card is already installed.
