Rare Vintage Apple External Floppy Drive Model Number M0130 - with cable and connector
(came with an Apple Macintosh 512K in 1985)
I'm the original owner of this Vintage floppy drive (purchased with/for an Apple Macintosh 512k Fat Mac computer) in 1985.The Fat Mac is virtually identical to the original (1984) 128K Macintosh except that it received a factory-upgrade from 128K to 512K RAM. Please note that this listing is not for the computer; it is only for the floppy drive.After purchasing it and using the floppy drive in the second half of the 1980s, I safely stored it in a closet for the subsequent decades until now. It was stored inside the original carrying case/bag to limit exposure to light, dust, etc. The the last time I tested it, the floppy drive was not able to eject floppy disks normally. However, I do observe movement of an internal mechanism in response to inserting a portion of a paper clip into the manual eject hole. My understanding is that these external drives can often be restored by some cleaning or lubricating -- but I am not guaranteeing that will fix it. So I am selling it "as is - not working".
