Vintage Corvus Systems Transporter Apple II Omninet interface card 8010-08011 E
Price: US $29.95
Here is a network interface card f for an Apple II, II+, or IIe system, made by Corvus Systems in the mid-1980s. This connected the Apple II to an Omninet network, which had a shared external 5.25\" full height hard drive. It requires a TAP cable with a 3-pin connector on one end and an RJ45 connector with only two wires on the other end. I do not include a TAP cable.. Corvus Systems was the first to extend Apple\'s operating system for a hard drive. Their first drives in the early 1980s were 5MB or 10MB, and their largest were 126MB in 1987, when the company filed for bankruptcy. They made Omninet interface cards for IBM PCs, S100 bus CP/M systems, Tandy TRS-80 systems, Atari 800 as well as Apple II. I have several other Corvus Transporter cards listed on , but this one is the newest. It was made well after Corvus Systems went out of business. My other Omninet cards of revisions T, X, and Y1 have chips dating from 1982 and 1983. My revision D cards are from 1987, but this one has chips from late 1989 and early 1990. The others have a large chip to the right of the oscillator labeled \"Corvus Systems\" but this one says \"Actrix Systems 9223\".I offer a 30 day return privilege and free USPS shipping to any U.S. zip code
