Vintage Radio Shack 3.5\" Disk Drive Cleaning Kit Cat No. 26-299

Up for sale is a vintage Radio Shack branded 3.5\" Disk Drive Cleaning Kit with the catalog number reading 26-299. I\'m not exactly sure when this item initially became available on the market, since there is no effective year of manufacture printed anywhere on the packaging. My best guess it that it has to have been made sometime in the nineties or possibly even during the early 2000\'s. Personally, I\'d like to think that it\'s from the nineties because considering how the 3.5\" floppy disk format is near obsolete, then it would make sense for this product to be considered vintage.
Either way, I had this product sitting on a shelf collecting quite a bit of dust for the past unknown number of years (potentially even decades) and at some point I believe it was relocated to a storage bin. I recently came across it and gave it a good cleaning but the cap on the cleaning solution is still yellowed and spotty from overall age. Furthermore, I cannot remember if this product was ever actually used or not... and if it was, then I\'d estimate that it was probably only used once or twice at the most. The mistake I made here was I didn\'t mark the times of use on the chart that\'s on the label affixed to the floppy disk with the felt rag which is where the solution is supposed to be doused onto.
The solution bottle still feels pretty full... so perhaps my earlier guesstimate about this product\'s usage is pretty spot on. The card back for the cleaning kit exhibits some signs of yellowing on it as well from overall age and general storage. It has some staple marks, as that\'s what used to hold the blister pack and cardboard backing in place. The back of this product lists the UPC code as 0 40293 16179 8 and there\'s also an additional product number written over this barcode on the back which reads 260-0299, while the main product or catalog number reads 26-299.
Personally, I don\'t have much use for this item but I figure some retro computing enthusiast out there can definitely use something like this if they have a 3.5\" floppy drive in need of some maintenance.
