Vintage Star Micronics NX-1040 Rainbow Printer Manual and 3.5\" Driver Diskette
Description
Up for sale is a small lot of operating manuals/quick start guides/misc. documentation along with a 3.5\" Installation Diskette for a Star NX-1040 Printer from 1992; which was printed in Japan with the product number of QA 80825020. The printer that this lot of accessories pertains to is no longer available as it was thrown away ages ago when it no longer worked, and so what survives is all that\'s included in this lot.
You\'ll get the original spiral bound Users Manual (spelt that way without the apostrophe after the r), an additional Users\' Guide (which is a one page/double sided glossy sheet that\'s more like a quick start guide that anything) which has a product number of 80833100 QA as well as the 3.5\" Rev. 1.1 Star NX-Rainbow Driversdiskette (meant for use on Microsoft Windows 3.1 with 15 Scalable TrueType Fonts for that very same system platform).All of the manuals in documents in this lot exhibit some minorsigns of wear on them; appearing mostly in the form of yellowing/spotting on the pages of the spiral bound book or on the standalone sheet brought on by overall age and general storage. The spiral bound book also bears a slight touch of warpage on the spirals nearest to the bottom left front facing side of the book as well as some minor crease marks that bear a bit of lifting (or appearance of the white paper stock underneath) on their glossy material as well. Another thing that I found a little bit interesting or odd about the spiral bound manual is that the very last page has a fold out to it; which I can only assume must be where the 3.5\" diskette was meant to be kept; however, I don\'t see a vinyl transparent pouch that would hold it in place (which would normally be where this kind of thing would be glued upon) and somehow I just can\'t shake the feeling that I might have had a 5.25\" disk somewhere that was related to this manual. Either way, that floppy disk is otherwise considered missing for the time being (if it ever actually existed to begin with... for maybe I imagined seeing it at one point sitting in a floppy storage box somewhere).Please note that the 3.5\" floppy diskette has not been tested and is therefore being sold in as-is condition. I figure some retro vintage computing enthusiast out there with this same exact model can use these accessories if they\'re not on hand; which is why I\'m pricing this lot to move, so be sure to get in on this deal while it still lasts, for my loss is your gain as they say in the trade.
