Setup for retro gaming. This laptop has a 8GB CF card in place of the hard drive. Windows 95 installed with needed updates. Drivers working. Daemon Tools install ;) Really easy to copy CD images and install games. This Laptop should run most early to mid 90s DOS and windows games.
Specs:
- 11.3" TFT screen
- 100Mhz Pentium CPU
- 40mb ram
- 8GB CF card hard drive
- ESS688 & Yamaha OPL3 sound (Sound Blaster Pro)
This is kind of a frankensteins laptop. The bottom half and mainboard is a 425CDS, and the top half and screen is from a 430CDT. CDS models have crappy passive matrix screens. CDT models have much better active matrix screens. The screen isn't perfect but looks better in person. I had a hard time photographing it.
Overall, the laptop is in descent condition for its age. It's got some marks and dings and some discoloration. Also some of the plastic flappy parts have broken off. Other than that it's in good working order.
Main batteries hold charge but don't expect great battery life. Cmos battery replaced, and RTC battery removed.
Comes with some extra parts from a donor laptop. An extra battery, an extra CD-ROM drive, and an original hard drive caddy if you want to go back to a spinner IDE.
Let me know if have any questions.
