This is an absolutely untouched and guaranteed 100% original WW1 British Army 1908 pattern - right hand side webbing ammunition carrier. It has very light service wear and is in what collectors would normally say is MINT condition. A text book example of this rare item, it has all its correct bits - poppers, straps etc. in all the correct places(also including the inner dividers which are intact)...No damage etc.

If you want a pouch then this is guaranteed FOR LIFE to be original and from the period. We rarely get these and if you try and look for them on Google or - originals are not for salenowadays! If you want a copy - then pay £100 a pair for them - but originals in thiscondition…..they are a name your price item.

The collectors’ term is therefore 2nd Issue. List of Changes L. of C. §15048, dated 22nd November 1909, made a number of minor modifications to various items of W.E. Patt. '08. One of these was to replace the crimped brass tips on all straps and tabs with eyeletted ones. This was the only modification made to the Cartridge carriers by this L. of C. Entry. These Carriers, cartridge, 75 rounds incorporate this modification
