BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE RCA VICTOR VICTROLA TALKING MACHINE TABLE TOP PHONOGRAPH VV-VI

• Thewooden cabinet is expertly constructed of fine dark red mahogany - a relative rarity for the table top Victrolas

• The serial number is 455868 dating this machine to 1919 for manufacture - the serial number plate is in great condition as evidenced by the included picture

• This machine retains all of its original parts and mechanismsfrom production - I believe it has a No. 2 reproducer installed but it is missing the outer label - this in no way affects the playability as shown in the video below

• The hand crank winds and plays 78 RPM platters without difficulty - pitch appears to be consistent to my untrained ear but please judge for yourself by following this link: style=\"text-align: left;\">The volume is attenuated using by the opening and closing of the doors as show in the video above

• The VV-VI was a slight upgrade from the base VV-IV model, offering a 2-spring motor and slightly larger case. Production was started in October of 1911, and discontinued in 1925. Early models were available only in oak, After 1917, both oak and mahogany versions were produced. During the first few years of production, the VI came with a 10-inch turntable (left), which was upgraded to the full 12-inch size (right) after 1913.
