This listing is for an antique Continental bronze figural pocket watch stand or holder. The stand including the base measures 15 ¾ inches or 40 cm high and is 6 ½ inches or 16.5 cm deep at the base.

The watch holder features a black lacquer wood square stepped base with a gilt metal medallion at the center and two flaming torches on either side. The figure of a griffin stands at the center on one leg, and the other points up to his chest. The griffin balances back on his tail with his elongated neck reaching upward as it holds a ring and hook in its mouth. The bronze has a gilt gold patina or color which is all original to the piece.

The condition overall is very good. There are age appropriate variations to the gilt patina. Please see the many photographs for more on the look and condition as they are an important part of the description.
