This is an antique Crosby Steam Gauge and Valve indicator tool. I believe these were used on steam engine trains in the 1800\'s. I don\'t know how to tell if it works, but it appears solid and intact. It comes in its own custom made, locking box with the key. There is one small round hole in the bottom of the box that looks like it may have held something. Otherwise, there appears to be a place for everything and everything in its place. The tool and box are in excellent antique condition. Outside dimensions of the box are approximately 12\" w X 8 1/8 d X 9 3/8 h.
