A fascinating find!! ~ This wonderful bolt I\'m selling by the ONE YARD LENGTHS ~ ( please see measurement details per purchase below) It is a wonderful, unused antique French fabric that is woven using both soft wool and cotton. The tone is a stony brown with wonderful natural flecks ~*~ Dense weave ! This fabric was used for making underclothing and is a medium to heavy weight. I\'m selling this bolt of fabric BY THE YARD and each length has storage marks , some that may not wash fully. There are some warm marks in every yard of this bolt where it was stored. I\'ve washed the end and all marks washed with a faint trace in places. ( I soaked in Oxyclean overnight and hand washed with normal detergent) so to avoiddisappointment, please expect some of the storage marks not to wash ( condition reflected in the price) ~*~ ( FF yardage W10)

MEASUREMENTS: I\'m selling this bolt by the ONE YARD long lengths ~ so each purchase is for a length that measures : 32.5 inches wide by 36 inches ( one yard) long. Should you wish to purchase further continuous yards, simply change the quantity button. EG: should you require 3 continuous yards by 32.5 inches wide, simply change the quantity button to 3 ~*~)

CONDITION : This bolt is in as found , unused condition ! ~*~ There are pale age marks on this length , however it is in wonderful , unused condition! The age marks are more visible on the back of the fabric and most likely would wash well , if one didn\'t want them as part of their project! ~*~

Please email me if condition is vital to your purchase and we can discuss condition in detail. When describing my textiles, I use my best judgment, knowledge and experience to estimate their age. I have had many years of research and hands on experience with these wonderful textiles. I describe items as Antique if I estimate the age to be 100 years of age or greater. currently define an antique as dating to 1930 or earlier. I describe items as Vintage, as per the dictionary definition, if I feel the textile has age, or is outdated or old-fashioned, dating from the past. If I use both Antique/Vintage when describing a textile, it is because I feel the textile is most likely 100 years of age or greater, but may fall just short of that date. I often work in collaboration with other colleagues and textile specialists to ascertain the approximate age of my textiles, however ultimately any statement of age is a matter of best judgment only~*~I also use my best professional judgment to ascertain the fiber content of my textiles, using sight and feel and where possible historical information and context to help me to identify plants used in a particular era.
