Antique French JTL Geronimo Barnabetti Violin Paris France w/Parts & Case a.imagelink {color:#5f654b;} a:hover.imagelink {color:#5f654b;} a:visited.imagelink {color:#4f1722;} a.imagelink img.saleimage { border: 2px solid #5f654b; } a:visited.imagelink img.saleimage { border: 2px solid #4f1722; } This is a beautiful handcrafted antique violin, showing labels on the interior: "JTL," "Geronimo Barnabetti," "Paris," "MADE IN FRANCE," and a 'violin-over-lyre' logo over "TRADEMARK". Barnabetti models were made between 1860 and early 1900's - we are unclear on the exact year of manufacture.
The violin is in very good antique condition. There are minor surface imperfections and expected wear to the finish, mostly in the bridge and tailpiece area and on the cusps of the
c-bouts/waists.
Though the meaning may be obscure to non-experts such as ourselves, there is a note written in pencil on the fingerboard of the violin neck, and it reads:

We will ship the item in the case and include the accessories it came with. The violin bow is signed "TRADE [etched floral logo, kanji, or initial] MARK JAPAN" with abalone inlays on the handle.
The violin measures 22" x 7&1/2"w x 3 1/4" overall & weighs 10.9oz.

The case measures 29" x 9" x 4" and weighs 3lbs.
