Up for sale is a stunning Sevres porcelain Urn depicting a battle scene from Napoleons 1809 War of the fifth Coalition. This is the Battle of Ratisbonne. In this battle Napoleon took a piece of shrapnel to his foot. Thispainting is showing Napoleon is all his grandeur getting his foot bandaged with the town burning in the background. The urn is handled by bronze ormolu swans. It measures 26 1/2\" tall x 10 1/2\" wide handle to handle. The blue top is wood. I am assuming this had a porcelain lid originally. There is some damage to the foot (photographed). The rest of the piece is in very nice condition. The painting and gold decoration is just stunning. The painting is signed Chanele. This is a very rare piece and a must have for the Sevres collector and the Napoleon lover.
