On offer isthis beautiful antique German porcelain sugar box/biscuit box with silverplate fittings. Beautiful and in rare oval form. Silverplate fittings in good condition. Porcelain enamel. From a fine collection of European and American biscuit jars and boxes. Inscribed impressed mark under the lid \"ges. gesch. 3047\". From the hinge, there is a continuation hairline from where the hinge screws in to the box. This is not entirely uncommon for a piece of this age and use. All else excellent.
