Antique Heddon #13 \"Lucky Angler\" Split Bamboo Fly Rod 2 Tips Sections 1930\'s?
Price: US $188.50

Offered for your consideration is a fine antique Heddon #13 \"Lucky Angler\" split bamboo fly rod. I believe this rod dates to the 1930\'s. The rod comes in its original aluminum tube with the original cloth storage bag. This is a 8-1/2\' 3-piece rod that comes with an extra tip section.

The rod appears to have seen moderate use and remains very nice with the only detraction being split/cracked wrapping on the first guide as shown. This rod has not been cleaned, refinished, or altered in any way and remains completely original.

This is a classic Heddon split bamboo rod and it was beautifully crafted All four sections remain very nice with no cracking or visible damage. Aside from the wrapping issue with the first guide, all of the other guides remain tightly wrapped. The guides all remain perfectly aligned and free of any bending or deformation with the exception of the third guide from the bottom of the middle section, which has a very slight bend. The cork handle remains very solid and nice with just some normal darkening from use/wear. The surfaces are free of any chips, cracks, holes, or damage. The hook keeper remains perfect with no bending. The ferrules remain very nice as well and they\'re free of any dents, bending, or deformation. All sections fit together very snugly. The tips on both tips sections are the original and remain tightly secured with no bending, deformation, or damage.

The cloth sock is the original and remains in excellent condition with no stains, discoloration, tears, or any other problems. It shows very little soiling or wear and it\'s also free of any insect or environmental damage.

The aluminum storage/travel tube is the original and remains nice as well. It\'s a very solid tube and it\'s free of any significant dents, damage, or bending with just the normal scattered scuffs, dings, small dents, and abrasions from decades of storage/handling. The cap fits very snugly and stays tight.

A very nice, original example of this classic Heddon fly rod!
