WHAT AN INCREDIBLE LITTLE 1QT STONEWARE JUG!!! The advertising is a yellowish color on an Albany slip background. I was told at some point in time that cobalt over Albany slip will produce this color. The advertising is definitely stenciled, no scratch like you would expect. The condition is very, very good! That bare spot of stoneware on the front looks to be where the jug touched another piece of stoneware in the kiln... and it is not that bright and shiny in person. The flash really reflects off this spot when taking pictures! There is a little piece of stoneware on the back where this jug touched another jug and stuck to this one... minor and really pretty neat as you can see in the pictures! One fleabite of an inconsequential nick on the inside of the spout that also may be original to the making. The edges of the handle look like they are covered in the Albany slip, but not glazed over... just being really picky!!! There are no cracks and no repairs!!! What a great size! What great advertising! ...and what great overall condition!!!This jug needs a bit of a cleaning on the back... some old residue that does appear it will wash off, but not an issue in the least. I have not touched this jug to clean it in any way!!! It is absolutely fresh picked!!! Please see each and every picture and be sure to enlarge them for the very best description!
