For your offerding consideration today, we have a pair of antique pre civil war era side lacing boots or gaiters. They are made of blue fabric, that feels like cotton. They lace on the sides, with patent leather at the toe area and the backs of the heels. They have a leather straight sole with no left or right swing. This is a nice color to add to a collection. They do have some age related flaws, there is some feathering and some crazing to the patent, a few holes that you can see the lining through. I am use that they could be colored in and would not be as noticeable. All in all, a nice display item.
As with all shoes of the era, these do not have a size in them, so please do not ask me to guess what size they are, I don\'t know, and I don\'t want to guess, so I have provided the following measurements so that you may decide if these would work for you. When placed up against a wall, and measured from the outside, where the heel of your foot would sit, to the tip of the toe, they measure over 10 inches long, and the width of the sole at the widest part is 2 1/4 inches . Please do not ask me to remove the stuffing to get an interior measurement. The shoes have been stuffed for years, and I do not want to remove it.Emails with offers to purchase items at reduced prices will not be answered.
