PLEASE NOTE THAT THE WATER PATCHES YOU SEE IN SOME OF THE IMAGES IS LIGHT CAUGHT BY THE CAMERA REFLECTING OFF THE GLAZE. Offered in this sale is a big, bold and impressive early English flow blue ironstone china platter decorated with the SHANGHAE pattern that was made by Jacob Furnival in the mid 1800s. It measures roughly 16 1/2\" long x 12 3/4\" wide and weighs more than 4.5 pounds! It is marked on the back with the printed stamp with the name of the pattern which you can see illustrated in the second image. The condition is excellent. Other than just a few minor glaze rubs on the inner surface rim and some very light darkened under glaze crazing there are no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or restoration of any kind. One of the better pieces of flow blue I have had to offer in some time. Please feel free to email with any questions. I always guarantee everything that I sell to be as described.
