For your offerding consideration today, we have an old stock pair of antique Victorian button up boots or shoes. They are made of black fabric on there uppers, and black leather at the toe and heel, with brown leather in the middle. All buttons are present on both shoes and the button holes are nicely scalloped. The leather where the fabric meets is scalloped at the black and brown areas. The toe has a punched design. The sole has the name BLACKER GERSTLE & CO CINCINNATI. While these shoes are old stock, and in unworn condition, they do have age wear. There are several holes in the fabric on both shoes that have been colored, I guess, because they are not white like the lining. The brown area has color loss, and could use a polish. The strip that goes up the backs of the shoes has damage, and on one shoe, there is a piece of it missing. So many flaws with these, but still a nice display item.
As with all shoes of the era, these do not have a size in them, so please do not ask me to guess what size they are, I don't know, and I don't want to guess, so I have provided the following measurements so that you may decide if these would work for you. When placed up against a wall, and measured from the outside, where the heel of your foot would sit, to the tip of the toe, they measure 9 1/4" inches long, and the width of the sole at the widest part is 2 5/8 inches . Please do not ask me to remove the stuffing to get an interior measurement.
