The History
This beautiful piece comes from the Art Deco Era! The Art Deco Era is famous for being the \"Gatsby\" or \"Roaring Twenties\" Era. A lot of gorgeous and timeless designs in jewelry came out of this period.
During the Art Deco Era jewelers would often make these gorgeous piece to order, which would take weeks to hand craft!
Chinese Export jewelry became popular during the late Victorian Period and lasted until the 1960\'s. In a lot of ways Chinese Export jewelry fashioned what we know of jewelry today. During these period\'s Chinese Craftsmen including Jewelers, Stone cutters were considered by far the best in the world.
The rich and wealthy would have a piece custom ordered through their local jeweler whom was usually gifted at drawing a design to send off to contacts in China to craft and send back. As you can imagine, this was not cheap, that being said, these pieces are very rare and few have survived until today.
ChineseStone cutters were considered some of the finest artisans in the world duringthe Vintage Era. They would carve western themes as well as the more raretraditional eastern themes into their many pieces.
The Piece
The necklace includes two hand carved pieces of natural Apple Green Jadeite. The Jadeite gorgeous details of beautiful flowers and foliage throughout that are absolutely gorgeous. There are also four beautiful Jade beads near the lavaliere attached to the necklace that gives the piece a gorgeous style.
The necklace includes classic Art Deco Era craftsmanship throughout including a solid 14k Yellow Gold chain for the lavaliere necklace. There is also an interesting design in the metal work at the top of the larger Jade carving that gives the piece an even more incredible style!
The necklace measures 17\" in length and the lavaliere pendant measures 1 and 2.25\" long by 3/4\" wide. The necklace also includes a secure spring clasp.
Antique and Vintage jewelry is disappearing at alarming rates. Unfortunately, most of the jewelry from this time period has been lost or melted down over the years, please don\'t miss your chance to own this special piece of history!

*Due to the age of some of these pieces, some items will not be stamped. The National Stamping Act was not enacted until 1906, before 1906 jewelry was not legally required to have a karat mark. This is one way to date items prior to the Art Nouveau time period.
