Antique Vintage EGG SCALE Letter Scale

The scale is knownas a Full Circle Letter Scale. There are several variations on this design.
From reading about this scale it was originally a letter scale in France. The red dot on the arrow exceeding the red line on the scale meant that the letter was overweight. Later the cup was added to the scale so it could be used as an egg scale. There are no marks to indicate the egg grade.
The porcelain(glass) egg is included in the sale. The nickel plating is mostly worn away. The black paint is in good shape. As it sits on my desk the scale is zeroed. There is a great deal of info. on this design on the internet.
