Yet another beautiful example of French damask ticking in a gorgeous aqua type blue chrysanthemum pattern. The hue was a bit hard to capture with my camera, it has a bit more vibrancy, a shade or 2 deeper than my photos captured, a lovely hue in person (not as washed out as the photos captured). This is a linen with possibly a bit of cotton. I adore this piece & have had a similar pattern in the past which was very well received so thrilled to acquire a bit more from central France. These old French ticking damasks make lovely pillows and are excellent for small light upholstery as well as an abundance of vintage projects. Great for French and shabby cottage interiors. They mix beautifully with other French textiles & loomed linen, grain sacks etc.. Even lovely embellished with laces and French trims. This is an earlier example, probably right around the 1920\'s possibly the 30\'s.Condition is very nice for it\'s age and strong; May have been lightly utilized. May have a small fiber break/pull or tiny age spot from time as these were utilitarian but overall a wonderful piece of it\'s day. In my photos this had just been unpacked and not yet pressed.Measures 29 inches wide by a 1/2 yd. (18 inches tall/long) ~ I have 8 to offer and can keep your length in one uncut piece. Each quantity selected increases the length, width of 29 inches remains the same.
