The History
The Piece
The pin features diamonds throughout its silver topped setting! The Diamonds are all rose cut and feature facets that reflect light off of their surface. Each diamond includes a great sparkle that is further complemented by the Silver settings they are set in! The diamonds are in great condition and weigh in at 0.42 Ct\'s!
The piece includes classic handmade Art Nouveau Era craftsmanship throughout! The brooch is made in a lapel style with an Art Nouveau leaf and vine design at the top. The design is topped with silver and includes a great amount of detail on the leaf and vines!
Lapel pins were used on shirts, coats, and even hats! These long pins were all the style during the Art Nouveau Era and were used to decorate these parts of the attire, and more, during this Era!
The pin measures just over 2\" long by 0.5\" wide.
If you wish, your local jeweler could most likely add a bale onto the piece for you so it could be worn as a pendant!
