Antique Waterman's Ideal 12 S Safety Pen Hard Rubber Fountain Pen Early 1900's

An Early 1900's American Made Waterman's Ideal No 12 S, a Retractable Gold Nibbed Safety Fountain Pen, with Gold Plated Bands.

The Hard Rubber / Vulcanite Body is in good cosmetic condition overall, with slight fading and a few Teethmarks to its top, but with no cracks, major damage or structural issues.

The Gold No 2 Flex Nib is in used condition as shown, but not broken or badly worn.

The Bands have some minor surface wear to their Plating but are firmly in situ with no major damage.

I have not attempted to take this Pen apart, everything is very tight, best left to someone who knows what they are doing, it is sold strictly as untested and with this in mind.

The Mechanism for retracting the Nib works firmly and smoothly, the Cap screws onto the Top of the Pen to help facilitate this function.

The Cap screws on and off both ends of the Pen cleanly and firmly and is free of cracks or losses.

All the above is as shown comprehensively in the many pictures, please examine them in close up before you offer, to satisfy yourself as to condition, suitability, etc. of the item(s) shown.

The Pen when closed with the Cap in Place measures approx' :- 12.60 cms Long.
