Acquired at an estate is this very heavy (a little over 23 pounds ) old cast iron clock that measures approx. 17 1/2" wide X 7 1/2" deep X 15" high - I wound it & this runs strong & keeps good time - it counts the hours & strikes once on the half-hour ( has a nice "rich" gong sound - the case has no cracks, dents or dings that I can see, just some wearing on the enameled surface in places - the door hinge is excellent , closes snug and does not sag & the thick beveled glass has no cracks, just one slight blemish at very edge at approx. 3 o'clock ( you have to be real close to notice it ) - movement is stamped ANSONIA CLOCK CO.
