Up on the block with NR this week are these two awesome and original/authentic WWI US Marines Recruitment Pieces. One is the famous \'Teufel Hunden/Devil Dog\' poster that goes for thousands when in good condition (only other one on is going for $895.00), and this Minnesota Marines recruitment calendar for 1919.
The big poster is 20x29 inches and the calendar is 14x22 inches framed.
The first one is big and famous and awesome but the second is definitely more rare. There is one in the Minnesota State Historical archives but when we contacted the Marines Museum, they had actually said they had never seen it before. But, the MNHS definitely has the only other copy I have ever seen.
The big one has some crinkling on the top and bottom corner and a 1inch tear in the base, they are ALL highlighted in the pics so please see the pics. The second piece only has a little water damage in the bottom right corner, other than that it is perfect though. Again, please see the pics.
Shipping can go like this... I am putting $50.00 on it now, assuming that you want them shipped in the frame and separately. That will be $50.00+. BUT! If you want to make the shipping real cheap, I can just take posters out of them frames and send them in a tube. This will be really cheap. I have worked in both a museum and a warehouse and I am confident in removing the pieces while painting their current state of preservation (which isn\'t perfect anyway).
