Stunning and rare - this sale is for a pair of natural Imperial green jadeite jade dangle earrings. These earrings date from the late 1920s to the early 1930s (as determined by the markings and the box).
They were made by the TY Lee Co. in Hong Kong during the Art Deco period.
The earrings are still in their original black velvet box.
The jadeite jade stones are 12mm diameter bi-disks at approximately 2mm thick. They have a slightly shallow bowl center.
The gemstones are an overall bright emerald green color with some highly translucent clouds of pale green. They are natural and untreated, not dyed and not impregnated with polymers.
The jadeites are set in 14K yellow gold. One earring is marked on the screw back \"14K 585\" while the other is marked \"TYL\" with an early hallmark. Each jadeite swings freely within its 14K gold circular frame.
The earrings dangle 1.25 inches.
Their weight is 4.26 grams.
