For your consideration, this beautiful Vintage 14k Gold Large AJ Hedges Enamel Triple Pansy Pearl Basket Brooch. This triple pansy brooch features stunning life-like bright enamel colors. The center of each flower is adorned with a single shimmering accent pearl. Very good overall condition, normal wear for age(see magnified photos). This brooch is rather large measuring appx. 2"H by 1 5/8"W and weighs approx. 13.2 grams. Hallmarked 14k and bears the A.J. Hedges Makers Mark. Among them the magnificent enamelled flower brooches, like the pansies fashionable at the end of the 19th century.The enameling on their jewels is among the finest produced with "delicate shading and realistic markings", like the other Newark maker Krementz. They were also specialists in Mourning Jewelry." The maker's mark for Hedges was a "capital H, with 14 above the letter's crossbar, and K below it"
