Repurposing at its finest... what is a more useful and positive way to give new life and pay homage to the creatures once used in the making of fur garments? I love to reinvent fresh and new collectible teddy bears and bunnies, using only the finest vintage fur. All my bears and bunnies are made with the utmost care and precision and comprise only the finest materials. Considerable time and attention goes into each and every one of my babies. And each one is my own personal design, unique and individual.

I am excited to introduce my latest teddy bear, Bandit, made from beautiful, pristine repurposed raccoon fur. He\'s a wonderful, huggable size at 15\". His face is a lovely shade of brown, while the long guard hairs are both blond and dark brown tipped, giving him a stunning finish! With his dark face and raccoon DNA, I thought Bandit was a suitable name for this delightful boy. I made him a custom fit leather cap. Bandit is much sweeter in the fur, the images simply do not do him justice.

• Bandit stands at 15\", not including ears, and sits at 10\". He is stuffed with polyester fiberfill with a bit of steel shot added for extra substance; his weight is 1 lb. 8 oz (676 gm)
  
• He has soulful black glass eyes, with hand sculpted black eyelids and hand painted eye whites
  
• Bandit\'s brown and taupe mottled and textured nose has been hand sculpted, painted and sealed
  
• His 4 taupe colored leather paw pads are needle sculpted and hand shaded
  
• Bandit is 5-way jointed; discs, washers, bolts, lock nuts in arms and legs and cotter-pin jointed for a semi wobbly neck joint, allowing for some very cute head tilts
  
• Bandit has bent legs and both his legs and arms feature wire armature to allow for gentle bending
• His arms and front paws are downward facing; his arms look particularly cute when bent at the elbow and wrist.
  
• Bandit sports a fine black leather cap I custom made to fit his handsome head
  

Bandit bears the signature \"Linda Joan\" on a leather tag attached to his derriere and as with all my creations, is dated and numbered and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and a hang tag. Please contact me if you have any questions or would like additional information or pictures.

I have been designing and handcrafting teddy bears and bunnies for 18 years. I am honored and humbled to have received numerous international awards, including URSA, Bears of Excellence, Toby (Industry Choice and People\'s Choice), Golden Teddy, Ace, and Sydney People\'s Choice. I am a Juried member of the New Brunswick Crafts Council, have been published and appeared on Canada\'s national French television network, TVA.
