A beautiful all original ballerina doll in excellent condition - truly even nicer in \'real life\'! Doll is not marked.
She is 16.5\" tall, hard plastic, blue sleep eyes with lashes on lids, and painted lower lashes. Dramatic eye shadow in pale grey-blue. Cheeks are blushed, mouth is lovely...blush is on back of hands, too.
Dressed in a ballerina costume with 2 tulle netting layers over a stiff crinoline. Satin bodice with tiny flower trim at waistline. Fabric may be faded. She wears white full length stockings, satin panties with netting trim, satin ballet slippers. Black ribbon around neck with a single blue flower. Flowers & ribbon in her hair, and two \'gold\' hair pins under the ribbon.
Her hair is very soft, flattened in the back from storage, and shedding a bit...her only fault that I can find.
There is a box bottom in poor condition, but has a label. Also a booklet \"My costume tells a story\" from Costume - Lore Studios with detailed information about Ballet. Dated 1950.

ADDITIONAL COMMENT: The hair on this doll is very fragile. When I was inspecting the ears to answer a question, I saw small pieces of falling hair. It doesn\'t show up until the hair is \"messed with\". Her hair should not be brushed! This is the doll\'s one drawback. Her bangs are fine - full, soft and no falling hairs.
