Description Areally beautiful decorative English antiqueEdwardian solid sterling silver ladies handbag purse, by the silversmith Henry Matthews, in Excellent clean condition and with a full set of English silver hallmarksBirmingham 1903.Superb quality genuine 112 year old silver example, decorated with attractive engraved birds, flowers and scrolls, it has a sprung silver push-button lid opener and it hangsfrom its original silver link chain with silver finger ring. Inside it is lined in the original undamagedsilkand has5 compartments, with the centre section having silver mounts. Weighs a heavy approx.91 grams. Lovely engraved monogram and year date in cartouches, would easily polish out if wanted as the silver is such a thick gauge.
