DescriptionA beautifulraregenuine antique late 19th Century\"novelty\"solid sterling silvertable snuff box in the form of a bird, in lovely condition and dating from around 1890-1900.Excellent quality original110+ year old example, (definitely not a modern re-production), a very uncommon piece, superbly modelled and detailed, with a hinged lid and complete with its 2 silver claw feet.There are no added personal engraved inscriptions. Weighs approx 36 grams.

DateAntique late 19th Century solid sterling silver, unmarked as is common with with antique novelty boxes, probably French, fully acid tested and100% guaranteed antique sterling silver and dating from around 1890-1900.
ConditionLovely condition, no splits or cracks definitely no wear holes and no knocks or dents, a really beautiful example. Possibly the teeniest little repair on one of the silver legs, truly nothing at all, and absolutely tight and secure.The silver lid hinge works perfectly and opens and closes securely. Stunning rare silver box and with no added engraved inscriptions. Direct from a private estate.
