Here today for your consideration is a beautiful tagged vintage Cissy doll outfit made by Madame Alexander in 1956. I believe this darling outfit was sold as a boxed extra for the Cissy doll. It doesn\'t appear the skirt or the blouse has ever been laundered or ironed. The blouse is made of a sheer white nylon with lots of beautiful Val lace trim, 3 real working white pearlized buttons in the front with 3/4 length puffed sleeves. In some of the pictures the blouse appears to have some yellowing in one area on the front lace but it must be a shadow because the color is very uniform with somewhat of an all over off white cast, probably not as white as it once was when new. All of the lace trim is perfect and intact. As with most of these nylon blouses little girls had a difficult time putting the blouse on and off over Cissy\'s vinyl arms without ripping the sleeve seams. The sleeve seams are, in my opinion, in great condition but they are not pristine as they may have at one time had a few stitches to secure the seam, they appear to be holding up rather well. The tagged polished cotton pleated skirt is vivid in color with no fading or stains. By looking at the tag and the condition it appears this skirt has never been laundered or ironed, it still retains its crispness and great polished cotton sheen. I believe the flowers at the waist are original to the skirt. The only issue I can find with the skirt is in the back opening below the waist snap closure is what appears to a short seam separation. Im not a seamstress but it appears to be an easy fix, it doesn\'t show because the skirt has so many tiny pleats covering it. All in all this gorgeous outfit displays beautifully as is shown in the pictures on the vintage Cissy doll model. The reference for this outfit can be seen on page #103 in The Cissy Files book.
