c 1923 Regal Fancy Tiple with 4-color herringbone Stock# 46306 - Serial # nsn A cute little Regal tiple that needs some help as the soundboard is distorted around the soundhole and the bridge is loose along its back edge. The top is slightly loose over the tail block The top is ladder-braced but all the top braces appear to be still solidly glued to the spruce top. The lowest of the three back braces, however, is quite loose. Mahogany back and sides, fingerboard and bridge are some kind of hardwood dyed black, there\'s no ebony on this tiple. Neck is straight but is at too shallow an angle in relation to the body, so you\'ll have some work to do in making this a playable tiple. Original finish, frets, tuners, nut, and bridge (one tuner shaft slightly bent but all work). A great project with real potential for those of you with a a few clamps, some good glue, and the ability to fix things that aren\'t too trashed. Please review all of the photos carefully, as they are a vital part of the description. Although Gryphon has the reputation of being a full-service repair shop, all sales on are strictly \"as-is\" and no after-sale service is implied or should be expected.
