This Confederate cavalry coat button is Tice CSC 203. It was found in 1975 along with many others, mostly damaged, during some construction in downtown Richmond. These were leftover from the 1865 warehouse fires in downtown Richmond. This was one of the best when I had the chance to pick. The backmark is \"Superior Quality.\" It could probably be (carefully) cleaned up some, but I would leave it as is.
