Here today for your consideration is a beautiful tagged Garland dress made for the Cissy doll by Madame Alexander 1955 and a beautiful assortment of homemade Cissy doll items of clothing. Your will be offerding on all items shown in picture #2 only. The adorable tagged vintage dress is one variation of the Garland dress made in 1955. The dress is made of a beautiful off white polished cotton fabric with swirling garlands of tiny blue flowers as well as swirling tiny yellow flower bud garland. The dress has a scoop neck with puffed sleeves trimmed with darling off white Val lace, closing in the back with 4 intact original square snaps. The sleeves and lace are perfect with the exception of the elastic in the sleeves has relaxed, but still looks adorable. The dress is in excellent excellent condition with no tears, no stains, no unwanted marks, and no fading. The colors are nice and viivid, Im not the original owner so Im uncertain if the dress has ever been laundered. In my opinion the vintage dress has been stored properly that does not need to be laundered but it could use a light pressing. It appears the slip has been mommy made, but it fits the dress great for an added fullness. Im certain the hat is not the original hat that goes with this dress. A while back I purchased the Cissy 1955 Toile dress together with this hat. It was the original hat to the Madame Alexander Toile outfit but all that remained on it was the pink ribbon and a few leaves. Since the hat itself was still in great condition I decided to add some vintage coordinating trims and flowers I had together with the original leaves to make the hat to be worn with the Garland dress, it looks positively adorable with this beautiful dress. The included high heels are factory made with white stretchy elastic material, blue rhinestones and hard plastic glittery soles and heels.
