Diamond ET-240 model electric guitar in Cherry mahogany finish. I believe these were made by Matsumoku and branded as Diamond Aria and others in Japan mid 70's/ Serial number on neck plate reads 762262. 1976 year. I had some trouble finding lots of info on these guitars. There seems to be a little here and there but not a ton of it. If anyone has any info to add or can correct me with technical, please feel free. I think that everything but the bridge is original. Leo-Quan replacement. Rosewood fret board and solid mahogany body and neck. 4 bolt neck. All the screws are tight and NOT stripped. Nice finish overall with no fade. A couple of minor bumps and a couple of small spots on front of body. Hard to photo. Virtually NO buckle rash on back of body. Frets are hardly worn. I think this guitar sat somewhere un-played for a long time. The neck is 1 11/16" at the nut and action is low with no buzzing. Weight is 7lb 4oz. Plays VERY well/ intonation great for a bolt neck. I think the strap button was moved from the neck to upper bout of the body as shown. Pickups are very bright sounding, almost tele-like. Neck reads 7.03K/ bridge 6.94K. All controls work well with VERY little scratching. NO numbers on pots except B500K on all. The control switch has "Pat" on one end with a circuit type picture below it. The case is in almost mint condition. Not sure if it's original but the guitar fits perfect. 5 latch with a purple lining inside. I do NOT have the key for the latch. Overall a really nice example of fairly rare(?) Japanese made mid 70's guitar. Please ask any questions before offerding. Shipping will be a flat $38.00 anywhere in the continental US ONLY.
