Disney Silly Symphony Songs 1934 RCA Victor picture disk set EXTREMELY RARE
Price: US $2500.00
Up for sale is the rarest Walt Disney record set in existence! This is a complete set of WALT DISNEY’S “Silly Symphony Songs” on RCA Victor Records, including three PICTURE DISCS (numbered 224, 225, and 226) with their original sleeves as well as an outer envelope that contains all three records.
The shellac picture discs are 7” in diameter and are 78 rpm. These discs, issued in 1934, represent the very first music from Disney films put on records. All the songs are performed by Frank Luther and orchestra.No. 224 contains the song “Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?” Part 1 and Part 2. No. 225 has “In a Silly Symphony” on side A and “Mickey Mouse and Minnie’s in Town” on side B. No. 226226has \"Lullabye Land of Nowhere\" and \"Dance of The Boogie Men.\"
These are in excellent condition for their age. I did not play grade them, but they actually look VG+. The artwork is clear and vivid and the discs are not cracked. I noticed one abnormality on one edge, but I barely noticed it. There\'s a close-up picture in the sale. The other close-up is just there so you can see detail, not because of a flaw. These display excellently. The only sale I can find of a complete set being saleed was in 2012 and they went for $1850. Here\'s the other sale result I can find from 2005 for $2300: [link removed by ]. Thanks for looking.
I will double-box and pack this item very carefully. I have shipped hundreds of records since 1998.
