    DESCRIPTION Fort Knox Antiquities is very pleased to offer this Native American, Deer head (dog head) Black-on-White Tularosa Pitcher, Mogollon 1100 AD - 1200 AD. sale!. Provenance:  Walter Goldschmidt Estate and foundation, AZ. The pitcher remains in as found condition one rim chip with a stable hairline crack running down the body. The dogs ears are broken away in antiquity. There are no repairs and no restoration. The pitcher has not been cleaned and still retains some of the sediment stains from recovery. Often called dog head pitchers) these effigies were actually more likely deer or antelope based on the markings. These are often incorrectly identified as Anasazi. All pieces guaranteed as stated. The pitcher measures 6 inches tall and 6.0 inches in diameter.
