Right out of an awesome estate sale in northern Ohio is this beautiful tin parade pumpkin made by theJack-O-Lantern Co. In Toledo, Ohio. This piece is all original and looks as if it has been stored awayFor the last 110 plus years. It appears to have never had a candle burning in it or ever have beenPainted. There is still a small sticker with the number 7 on the candle holder. It has the original twistedWire hanger and the entire pumpkin has a beautiful soft patina to it. I am selling it as I found it and will not be wiping or cleaning it. I can\'t imagine that there is a nicer one of these around. I have always liked collecting Halloween related items and knew it was a very popular hobby but I can\'t believe the calls and messages that I have received since I have listed this Jack-O-Lantern. First of all it is no longer for sale elsewhere andthe sale will run to the end. I have received calls from all over the U.S. and outside of the U.S. about this lantern.From all of the talks that I have had from buyers we have determined that the embossed candle holder is fromthe first group of lanterns made by this company in 1903 and pretty rare.We also believe that this lantern left the factory as it is (Unpainted) and has never been painted.If you are familiar with Stanford Pottery Co. in Sebring, Ohio that made the ClevelandIndians Chief Wahoo porcelain banks that were also hand paintedyou will see some of them aroundunpainted as they were taken home by workers, etc. A lot of the callers and buyers messaging me feel that someone took this lantern home unpainted from the factory.
