This is a beautifully refurbished 3/1 Goodwin Granger Favorite, the earliest Favorite model made. It has the classic \"Coke bottle\" cork handle, and the model name \"Favorite\" is stamped across the top of the German silver reel seat between the knurls. The reel seat is of the sliding band type. Other than a small dent on the bottom and some minor scratching the reel seat is in really good condition as is the handle. All hardware is original. This is a three-piece rod with one tip section. The section lengths are as follows: butt section: 36 1/2\"; mid section: 35 1/2\"; tip section: 36\". All bamboo is in excellent shape with no cracks or separations.

I personally removed all guides and wraps; stripped the old varnish off; completely re-wrapped the rod to original specifications and applied several coats of varnish. This is a real beauty, and is probably the most attractive rod that was made by Granger. It comes with a brand new (non-original) rod sock. These older Favorites don\'t come on the market very often, especially not in this condition. This is your chance to own a classic that is ready to hit the water-just add your favorite reel.
