Period engraved coat of arms.
Reclining griffin atop foliate framed shield, with leopard head
and perched song birds.
Circular form with boldly cast shell and scroll rim.
Center crest as noted.
Atop inverted leaf center scroll Bros. and Howson in 1908.
Oval form. Cast shell and scroll rim, including twin scallop shell framed
by leafy vine alternating with smaller shell and flower head.
Shell crown leaf and vine handles.
Center period engraved family crest a crown
supporting woman's bust with snake necklace, and motto.
This George III sterling silver reclining griffin
salver is 21 1/2 inches and weighs 152 (standard) ounces.
Hallmarked as shown.
In very fine condition.
Rich sterling patina.
