We are pleased to offer this fine George III sterling tea kettle atop stand. Family crest. A raised hand with spear and motto Persevere.
The tea kettle from the very rarely seen Robert Gaze in 1795. The well matched burner Chester Chesterman 1801.
Ovoid shape.
Both sides with raised spear crest, one with addition of LCW (?).
The hallmarked cover with original ivery and sterling cap finial. Conforming ivery center fixed handle.
The stand with later burner. Atop Grecian column tapering lion paw and claw feet.
This fine 1795 English sterling tea kettle and stand is 11 1/2 inches tall weighs 44 1/2 (standard) ounces.
Hallmarked as shown, kettle Robert Gaze 1795.The burner from Charles Chesterman 1801.
In excellent condition. Rich, lustreous sterling patina throughout. Stands firm on table or museum display shelf. Mild wear and few dints.
