The tazza circular with cast Satyr, demon, and Bacchus masks united by pierced leaf and vine and drapery. Each of the ghoulish faces appear unique from the others.

Center star medallion in petal fluting. The well cast scallop edge base with Order of the Garter buckle with crown and motto. United by series of classical figure oval shields, united by conforming leaf and vine.

This rare 1876 Order of the Garter sterling compote is 10 inches and 46 standard ounces.

Hallmarked as shown, the maker rubbed.

Excellent condition. Rich, lustreous sterling gilt patina throughout. Stands firm on table. The Egyptian Revival work retain their original crisp vibrant detail. Mild wear gilt and detail.
