Weber Henshall Streamline Bamboo Fly Rod made by E.W. Edwards

Here is a quality, seldom seen Weber Henshall Streamline 8 1/2', 3 piece, one tip bamboo fly rod made for Weber by E.W. Edwards in the mid 1920's. Stamped "Weber Lifelike Co. Stevens Point Wis" on the butt cap, and retains original "J.A. Henshall Streamline" decal. The three sections are original full length and reasonably straight. The original high quality nickel silver ferrules pop when disjointed and are tight to the cane. A clean fracture near the female ferrule end of the mid section has been repaired with some type of glue and you can see ghosting from the wraps (since removed) used to hold the fracture together while the glue set. There is a glue line visible on the other side of the fracture. Please see photos. Also, there are three 1/4" safety wraps on the tip section, probably due to hook digs. The original varnish has some chips and runs and should be touched up or refinished. Note the beautiful original double tipped wraps. Although this rod has some honorablebattle scars, it appears to be in sound fishable condition or would be good to be used for parts or display. No bag or tube. An interesting addition to your collection!
